Mavs Gain Momentum in Dual Meet

Women Go 1-1, Men Finish 0-1 on the Day

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Medaille men's and women's swimming and diving team traveled to Rochester, N.Y. for a double dual meet against Roberts Wesleyan College and Cazenovia College.

The men went 0-1 on the day as Cazenovia did not have a men's team. The women went 1-1 with a big win over Cazenovia College, 73.00 – 71.00.

For the women, Robin DeWinde (Rochester, NY, Gates Chili) took 3rd place in the 200-yard freestyle and 2nd place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1.10.14. Emily Duda (Holland Patent, NY, Holland Patent) continued to perform well finishing in 3rd place out of seven in the 50-yard freestyle. Her time was a 33.73.

In the men's competition, Ethan Heim (Lockport, NY, Lockport) grabbed an impressive 2nd place finish in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke. Hunter Camacho (Dansville, NY, Dansville) took second place in the 50-yard freestyle event with a time of 24.17.

The Mavs return to action on Saturday, October 30 as they head to Bradford, P.A. to face the Pitt-Bradford Panthers.
