AURORA, N.Y. – The Medaille College men's and women's swim teams competed against Wells College on Saturday for a dual meet. The men took down the Express by a score of 39-23 to take first place. The women fell short and finished second by a score of 23-64.
For the women, senior
Robin DeWinde (Rochester, NY, Gates Chili) grabbed a first place finish in the 200 yd. freestyle with a time of 2:36.06. DeWinde also finished second in the 100 yd. freestyle with a time of 1:12.12 and the 50 yd. freestyle with a time of 32.09.
Emily Duda (Holland Patent, NY, Holland Patent) finished closely behind DeWinde in the 100 yd. freestyle with a time of 1:17.82.
For the men, junior
Ethan Heim (Lockport, NY, Lockport) finished first in the 100 yd. breaststroke with a time of 1:11.32, and first in the 50 yd. freestyle with a time of 26.03. Heim also grabbed a second place finish in the 100 yd. butterfly with a time of 1:07.21.
The Mavs will have some time off before their next meet at Roberts Wesleyan College. They will travel there on Saturday, January 15.
