The Mavericks started slowly in the second half, with the team committing a series of fouls. The Mavs started to chip away at the deficit with Graves making a three pointer followed by two free-throws. Nick Carmichael (Ontario, NY, Wayne) made a string of important rebounds which set the tone for the remainder of the second half. Carmichael then made an impressive spin move to put the Mavs within six, 69-75, and they never looked back. Bryce Smith (College Station, TX, A&M; Consolidated) sunk a big three-pointer whilst Carmichael continuing to be an offensive threat registering multiple assists. Bile then tied the game at 81-81 with a layup while getting fouled and put the Mavs ahead after making the extra point. With just under six minutes to play, Daunte Wilcott (Erie, PA, Mercyhurst Prep) drew a charge against the Wolves. At the end of the game, McGill made a huge defensive play, by forcing a turnover with a steal. Wilcott sealed the win after stealing the ball and converting it with a lay-up.
