MEADVILLE, P.A. – The Medaille College field hockey team lost 0-8 in their away match against Allegheny College on Tuesday. The loss brings them to 0-4 on the season while the Allegheny Gators move to 5-4.

Allegheny started the game strong in the first period scoring within the first two minutes of the game. The Gators were aggressive on offense and tacked on four more goals to end the first period leading 5-0.

The Mavs defense held their ground in the second period where goaltender Kristyn Clare (Rochester, NY, East Irondequoit) recorded 11 saves to keep the Gators from adding any points to the scoreboard.

In the third period, the Gators overwhelmed the Mavs to score three more goals and take the 8-0 win. Clare had another busy evening and finished with 17 total saves on the day.

Catch the Mavs at home on October 12 to face the Brockport Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m.
