ERIE, P.A. – After a dominating 4-1 record in the first day of the Mercyhurst University Invite, the Mavs went 2-3 in the second day of competition. Medaille played in five matches scored using the Baker system. The Mavs finished in 3
rd place out of eight teams.
The Mavericks grabbed their first win of the day over D'Youville College 984-904. Medaille dropped their next three matches against Wilmington University 845-1037, Roberts Wesleyan College 879-1078, and Duquesne University 859-1025.
In the last match of the day, the Mavs were able to take down Daemen College 935-814 after their close loss to them on Saturday night.
Sophomore
Kendyll Jaskier (West Seneca, NY, West Seneca East) led all Maverick bowlers with a 999 total pinfall averaging 20.3. Junior
Sarah Radt (Orchard Park, NY, Orchard Park) maintained her consistency with a total pinfall of 924 and an 18.4 average. Both
Brianna Thurston (Sun Prairie, WI, Sun Prairie) and
Taylor Strickland (Roslin, ON, Centre Hastings Secondary School) had strong performances of 897 and 882 respectively.
The Mavs return to action on November 6 for the Medaille College Invitational.
