BUFFALO, N.Y. – Medaille College Athletics placed fourth in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) 2021-22 Presidents Cup race. The Mavericks were among nine other conference member institutions.
The Mavericks won 60 points out of 114 possible points winning 53% percent of its total points. In the fall season, the Mavs were led by the men's soccer team with 8.5 points followed by the women's tennis team with 4.75. The men's basketball team led the winter sports with 7.5 points followed closely behind by women's bowling with 7. The softball team earned the most points of the spring sports with 6.75.
With a strong spring sports season under their belts, Penn State Behrend has claimed the AMCC Presidents Cup with a .906 percentage ranking. The Lions won conference championships this spring in men's volleyball, men's tennis, and softball, while taking a runner-up finish in the AMCC baseball tournament. These titles are combined with men's and women's cross country, women's soccer, and women's volleyball in the fall, along with women's swimming & diving in the winter.
Penn State Altoona finished in second place with a .651 percentage ranking. The Altoona Lions also put together a solid spring season, including a runner-up finish in the AMCC softball tournament. Additionally, Penn State Altoona won the AMCC men's golf championship in the fall.
Rounding out the top three with a .623 percentage ranking is Alfred State College. The Pioneers made postseason conference tournament appearances in both baseball and softball, while picking up a championship title in men's swimming & diving in the winter.
