BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Medaille College men's tennis team wrapped up their regular season against Pitt-Greensburg with a win. The Mavericks won 7-2.
After a close win the day before, the Mavericks kept their winning streak alive against Pitt-Greensburg. The Mavs won five out of their six singles matches.
Pablo De Ramon Boceta (Treas-Cantos, Spain, Pinosierra) won his second position match 6-2 and 6-1.
Rodrigo Fernandez (Zaragoza, Spain) won his third position match 6-0 and 6-1.
Ander Castillo (Bilbao, Spain, Mater Dei Catholic) won his fourth position match 6-2 and 7-6.
Ben Tubbs (Painted Post, NY, Corning-Painted Post) won his fifth position match 6-1 and 6-0.
Celso Juberias (Zaragoza, Spain, Liceo Europa ) ended the last singles matches with a win 6-0 and 6-1. Singles were pretty dominant for the Mavs.
In doubles, Fernandez and Castillo won their second position match 8-1. Tubbs and Juberias won their third position match in a statement 8-0 win.
The Mavericks will now look ahead to the AMCC Championship. Once seeding has been determined, they will find out their fate.
