BUFFALO, N.Y. - The AMCC has announced softball outfielder Shay Sommer (Grand Island, NY, Grand Island) as the Player of the Week for the week of April 4 - April 10.



Sommer finished the week with a .345 batting average, a .387 on base percentage, and a .621 slugging percentage as the Mavs went 5-3 on the week. She went 10-for-29 with three doubles, one triple, and one homerun. She also added 10 RBIs, seven runs scored, and one stolen base. Her best game of the week was against La Roche where she batted 1.000 going 4-for-4 with two doubles, five RBIs, and two runs scored. She also added 10 putouts on 11 total chances in right field with a .909 fielding percentage.
