Mavericks Advance to AMCC Championship

Medaille to Face Saint Vincent in AMCC Title Game

BRADFORD, P.A. – The Medaille College women's bowling team are headed to the AMCC Championship game after a long battle with Saint Vincent and Pitt-Bradford.

In the first contest of the winner's bracket against Saint Vincent, the Mavs fell short in the traditional format losing 818-971. Kendyll Jaskier (West Seneca, NY, West Seneca East) was the top performer in the loss with a 186. The Mavericks bounced back in the Baker format winning the five-game series, 1012-878. The Mavericks then faced off in a best-of-seven Baker series with Saint Vincent. Despite a strong start, Saint Vincent grabbed three straight games to win the match and sent Medaille to the elimination bracket. Jaskier knocked down 448 pins for a 19.47 Baker average. Sarah Radt (Orchard Park, NY, Orchard Park) followed closely behind with a 436 (18.16). Taylor Strickland (Roslin, ON, Centre Hastings Secondary School) finished with 416 total pinfall with Paige Snook (Gaines, NY, Charles D'Amico) recording a 414.

The Mavs took on Pitt-Bradford for the chance to play Saint Vincent in the AMCC Championship. Medaille won the traditional format round 941-777. Strickland had the game-high 215 followed by Snook with 198. The Mavericks had all the momentum winning the five-game Baker series 876-773 to advance to the AMCC Championship. Strickland lifted the Mavs over Pitt-Bradford with a 205 (22.77) while Sarah Radt dropped 165 pins (18.33).

The AMCC Championship Match will take place Sunday morning at 9:30 A.M. with #1 Saint Vincent and # 2 Medaille squaring off for the AMCC title.
