BRADFORD, P.A. – The Medaille College women's bowling team returned to action for day two of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Round Robin 2 Tournament. The Mavs finished the day 2-2 and 5-3 on the weekend for a third-place finish.
The Mavs lost their opening match against Saint Vincent 773-880 despite
Sarah Radt (Orchard Park, NY, Orchard Park) rolling a 201. In their second match, the Mavs put together a solid team score of 881 total pinfall to beat New Jersey City's score of 771.
Mackenzie Smith (Burlington, ON, Dr. Frank J. Hayden Secondary School) bowled a 189 followed by
Brianna Thurston (Sun Prairie, WI, Sun Prairie) with a 180.
Medaille took the momentum into their next match against Penn State Behrend where they won 849-760. Radt bowled the highest individual score for the Mavericks with a 204. In the last match of the day, La Roche University edged out Medaille 880-819 with
Kendyll Jaskier (West Seneca, NY, West Seneca East) rolling a 180.
The Mavericks scored well as a team with a 6,835 total traditional pinfall which was good for a 170.9 average per game. Radt led the Mavs in total pinfall with a 732, followed by Thurston with a 687. Smith chipped in the third highest total with a 369.
The next match for the Mavericks will be on Sunday, February 20 against D'Youville College starting at 11:00 a.m.
