BRADFORD, P.A. – The Medaille College women's bowling team jumped out to a great start in day one of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Round Robin #2. The Mavs finished the day with a 3-1 record after four traditional matches.
The Mavs took down Penn State Altoona in the first match of the day winning 902-625.
Jenna Petrotto (Williamsville, NY, Williamsville South) had the high score for the Mavs with a 203. In the second match, the Mavericks fell short to Pitt Bradford losing 773-822.
The Mavs were able to get back on track against Mount Aloysius with their highest team performance of the day. Medaille won the match 924-762 with
Taylor Strickland (Roslin, ON, Centre Hastings Secondary School) rolling a 218. The Mavs finished the day strong with a 914-673 win over Pitt Greensburg.
Sarah Radt (Orchard Park, NY, Orchard Park) had the high score of 231 in the win.
Strickland led the Mavs on the day in total pinfall with a 742, followed by Radt with 716.
Kendyll Jaskier (West Seneca, NY, West Seneca East) scored well for Medaille with a total pinfall of 510, while
Paige Herndon (Toano, VA, Warhill) added a 387.
The Mavs will return tomorrow for day two of the AMCC Round Robin tournament where they will face Saint Vincent, New Jersey City, Penn State Behrend, and La Roche.
