WEBSTER, N.Y. - The Medaille College men's and women's swimming team returned to action for day three of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships at the Webster Aquatic Center.
For the women,
Ashton Laird (Medina, NY, Medina) swam her personal best in the preliminary session 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:12.58 good for 18
th place. She followed up that performance with a 1:11.89 in the finals to take 19
th place.
Kadynce Brown (Rock Springs, WY, Rock Springs) had a personal best of 1:26.42 (14
th) in the 100 Yard Butterfly and swam an even faster 1:25.59 in the finals.
Emily Duda (Holland Patent, NY, Holland Patent) took 16
th place in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a season-best 1:29.62.
In the men's races,
Ethan Heim (Lockport, NY, Lockport) swam his personal best in the preliminary 100 Yard Breaststroke with a 1:05.96 (20
th) to qualify for the finals.
Daniel O'Brien (Hamburg, NY, Hamburg) reached his personal best also in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a 1:07.50 (22
nd).
Jahnai Carr (Tobyhanna, PA, Pocono Mountain West) competed in the 100 Yard Backstroke and hit a personal best of 1:13.14 (24
th).
The Mavs will return to action tomorrow, Saturday, February 19, for the final day of competition. Preliminaries begin at 10:00 a.m., with the finals set for 5:00 p.m.
