BRADFORD, P.A. – The Medaille College men's and women's swim teams competed against Pitt-Bradford on Thursday for a dual meet. The men took down the Panthers by a score of 76-70. The women fell short finishing behind the Panthers by a score of 31-102.
For the men,
Hunter Camacho (Dansville, NY, Dansville) made his mark grabbing a first place finish in the 50 yd. freestyle with a time of 26.03, and the 500 yd. freestyle with a 5:46.49.
Ethan Heim (Lockport, NY, Lockport) also had a successful meet with a first place finish in the 100 yd. freestyle in 57.63 and the 100 yd. breaststroke with a time of 1:11.33.
Daniel O'Brien (Hamburg, NY, Hamburg) grabbed second place finishes in the 100 yd. freestyle and the 100 yd. breaststroke to help lift the Mavs to victory.
For the women,
Ashton Laird (Medina, NY, Medina) led the way with a first place finish in the 100 yd. backstroke with a 1:19.78 and a second place finish in the 200 yd. freestyle with a 2:39.40.
Emily Duda (Holland Patent, NY, Holland Patent) took a third place finish in the 50 yd. freestyle, 100 yd. freestyle, and 100 yd. breaststroke.
The Mavs will have some time off before their next meet at Webster High School. They will travel there on Wednesday, February 16 for the AESWD meet.
