AMCC Announces Fall Sportsmanship Teams

Seven Mavericks Selected for Sportsmanship Teams

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference has announced the Fall 2021 Sportsmanship Teams. One athlete from each team, has been selected for this honor.

The AMCC Sportsmanship teams are made up of one athlete per team voted by their team. They are voted in based on displaying good sportsmanship throughout the season. Their fellow teammates do the voting. According to the AMCC, "the student-athletes selected must consistently demonstrate a high level of ethlical conduct, respect, and fair play in both practice and competition, whether on the sidelines or as an active competitor. Such sportsmanship shall be evident toward teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and fans. He/She must also serve as a positive representative of school spirit when a spectator at other teams' sporting events."

The Mavericks selected for the sportsmanship teams are:

Women's Volleyball: Haley Kennedy (Chestermere, AB, Chestermere)

Men's Golf : Zach Barlow (Depew, NY, Depew)

Women's Cross Country: Andrea Krug (Kenmore, NY, Kenmore West)

Men's Cross Country: Ga'Vintay McGhee (Lumberton, NC, Leesville Road)

Women's Tennis: Emily Jablonski (Alden, NY, Alden)

Men's Soccer: Joseph Avallone (Southampton, NY, Southampton)

Women's Soccer: Courtney Kline (West Seneca, NY, St. Mary's)
