HAMBURG, N.Y. — The Medaille men's and women's cross country teams competed in the 13
th Annual Meghan Memorial Race on Saturday morning. The men topped the leaderboard, finishing in first out of four teams and the women found themselves in third place in their first event with a full team of runners.
Junior
Erin Hardick (Amherst, NY, Sacred Heart Academy) once again paced the Mavericks in the 5k, posting a time of 21:40, which was good for a first-place finish in the race.
Katherine Bobowicz (Clarence, NY, Sacred Heart Academy) took third place in the event with a time of 22:02.
Andrea Krug (Kenmore, NY, Kenmore West) (28:44),
Kaitlyn Lisiecki (West Seneca, NY, West Seneca East) (30:10), and
Haleigh Renaud (Allegany, NY, Allegany-Limestone) (31:22) rounded out the competitiors for the women's team.
Nicholas Cicero (Williamsville, NY, Williamsville South) led the men in their 5k with a third-place finish after posting a time of 17:25.
Joshua Wolski (Amherst, NY, Amherst) placed fifth (17:48) and
Dialo Rivera-Stevens (Buffalo, NY, Riverside) finished eighth (18:43) to round out the top 10 for the Mavs.
Na'Sair Merced-Bentley (Buffalo, NY, F.L. Olmsted ) (19:55),
Ga'Vintay McGhee (Lumberton, NC, Leesville Road) (20:17),
Rudy's Isaac (Buffalo, NY, Hutch-Tech) (21:59),
Quinton Jordan (Olean, NY, Olean) (22:38) also placed for the Mavs.
The Mavericks will race next in the CCOC Championships on Saturday, October 16.
