ERIE, P.A. — The Medaille College men's golf team finished off the regular season at the Behrend Invitational Monday afternoon with a seventh-place finish.
Freshman
Ben Tubbs (Painted Post, NY, Corning-Painted Post) led the way for the Mavericks with an 80, tying for a 9
th place finish out of 38 golfers.
Zach Barlow (Depew, NY, Depew) (86) and
Jake Justice (North Tonawanda, NY, North Tonawanda) (90) followed closely behind.
Bryce Smith (College Station, TX, A&M; Consolidated) (106) and
Nick Carmichael (Ontario, NY, Wayne) (119) rounded out the team score for the Mavs.
Carter Bolles (Alden, NY, Alden) competed as an individual and finished the day with a 129.
Penn State Behrend took first place at the invitational with a 303 and Pitt.-Bradford finished with a score of 315, which was good for second place. Medaille received a combined score of 362 in the seventh-place finish.
The Mavericks will now take some time to get ready for the AMCC Championships which will be held on Monday, October 18 and 19. This year's Championships will be held at the Butler Country Club in Butler, P.A.
