Box Score WEXFORD, P.A. — The Medaille women's tennis team competed in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament on Saturday, facing the number two seed Penn State Behrend Lions. The Lions defeated the Mavs 5-1 to end their season and hopes for a championship win.

Grad students Jasmine Mott (N. Tonawanda, NY, Starpoint) and Hallie Dworzanski (N. Tonawanda, NY, Niagara-Wheatfield) made their final doubles matchup one to remember with one last victory by a set score of 8-5. Their doubles win was the only point for Medaille on the day. Kristina Hryshchuk (East Aurora, NY, Iroquois Central) and Ali Richardson (Depew, NY, Maryvale) put up a fight in their matchup, but fell 5-8, followed by another doubles loss by freshmen Emily Jablonski (Alden, NY, Alden) and Arianna Lysiak (Cheektowaga, NY, Maryvale) (4-8).

The early 2-1 Behrend lead proved too much for the Mavs, who dropped all three singles matches to end their season. Medaille finished the season 6-5 overall and 4-2 in the conference. The Mavericks have a bright future ahead.
