BUFFALO, NY – The Medaille College Men's Lacrosse team returned to action today in a non-conference matchup with Alfred University.

The Saxons (10-1) were able to outman the Mavericks building a strong (14-0) lead at the half and went on to a (21-1) victory.

The Alfred defense played a very strong game, holding the Mavericks to just one goal on seven shots.

Alfred's Tanner Morse led all scorers with five goals and one assist. Four other players registered multiple goals for Alfred: Nicolas Wood, Jake Lynch, Derek Bishop and Nick Skibitsky.

David Groves (St. Albans, England, Verulam School) scored the lone goal for the Mavericks in the third period. Lavonte Lee (Amherst, NY, Sweet Home High School) assisted on the play.

Seth Gregg (Newfane, NY, Newfane High School) took the loss in net, he made (11) saves on (32) shots.

Medaille will look to bounce back on Friday when they host Cazenovia College in a NEAC matchup. The game will start at 6:00 pm.
