Buffalo, NY - The Medaille College Men's Lacrosse team suffered a (13-2) loss to visiting Wells College on Saturday afternoon at All-High Stadium.

The loss was the Mavs' eighth in a row and dropped their record to (2-9) overall and (1-6) in the NEAC. Wells improved to (3-7) overall and (1-5) in the NEAC.

Mike Graziano (Amherst, NY, Sweet Home High School) got the Mavericks on the board first, scoring off a pass from Lavonte Lee (Amherst, NY, Sweet Home High School) less than six minutes into the first quarter. Wells answered back quickly, however, scoring (19) seconds later to even things up. The goal was the first of (11) straight the Express would score to take complete control of the game.

Wells held a (6-1) lead at halftime and scored five more goals in the third quarter before Medaille got on the board again. Gamaliel Romero (Syracuse, NY, Henniger ) scored at the 13:48 mark of the fourth quarter, again off a pass from Lee.

The Mavs were outshot by Wells by a (42-17) margin, including a (32-7) shots on goal margin. Graziano led Medaille's offensive attack with eight shots. The Mavs also lost the ground ball battle, (46-25).

Medaille goalie David Groves (St. Albans, England, Verulam School) registered 19 saves in net.

The Mavericks will travel to SUNY Canton for a 2 pm non-conference match on Wednesday, April 22.
