Medaille Gets Back In Win Column With Win Over Mount Aloysius

CRESSON, PA - The Mavericks snapped their two game losing streak with a (96-91) victory over Mount Aloysius on Saturday afternoon. Medaille wasted no time getting started in this game.

Recently, Medaille has had trouble starting off quick in the opening half of games. That wasn't a problem today as they outscored the Mounties 45-42 and hit on 53.1% (17 of 32) from the field. In addition, they hit on four three point attempts as well. The Mounties did well in the first half as well hitting on 45.9% of their shots. They hit six three pointers in the opening half as well.

Medaille did even better in the second half as they totaled 51 points on 51.4% (18 of 35) shooting from the field. They also hit on 87.5% (14 of 16) from the free throw line. Mount Aloysius hit on 47.4% from the field and hit five three pointers in the second half.

Overall, the Mavericks beat the Mounties with points in the paint 44-38 while also outscoring them in points off of turnovers by a margin of 15-11.

Leading the Mavs was Jammal Coleman with (33) points and (8) rebounds while Sean Bellomo finished with (17) points and (8) rebouns. Chris Willingham finished with (15) points.

The Mavs (7-10, 6-4) will host Hilbert College on Wednesday at 6 p.m. as they look to continue their winning streak.
