BUFFALO , NY- The Medaille men's basketball team has maintained their winning streak as they defeated Penn State Altoona 88-80 Saturday afternoon.
The Mavericks were led by
Robby Seyler and
Jammal Coleman who together scored 38 of the Mavericks 88 points. Seyler led the scoring with 20 points and 5 rebounds, while Coleman added 18 points and 6 rebounds.
The game was a total team effort however with the team shooting 48% from the floor. Chris Willingham and Ryan Grandtis also helped by scoring 11 points each.
Medaille kept their lead the entire game never letting Penn State Altoona pull ahead. During the second half they managed a 13 point lead but then Altoona fought back by hitting some key shots late in the second half to drop the lead to 8.
The Mavericks (5-7 and 4-1 in conference) will continue their conference play on Sunday January 12
th against Pitt-Greensburg at 1pm in the Sullivan Center.
