AS A SENIOR (2017-18): Appeared and started in all 26 games for the Mavericks as a senior. Having arguably one of the greatest season by any Medaille athlete in school history, Reinwald continued to set records left and right. Dani averaged 19 points, 16.1 rebounds, 3.9 steals, 2.5 blocks, and two assists per game all while shooting 45.3 percent from the floor. She finished the season first or second in the AMCC in free throws made, free throws attempted, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds, total rebounds, rebounds per game, steals, block, and points. Was third in points per game and field goals made, and fifth in points per 40 minutes. Nationally her numbers stacked up against the best in the NCAA, finishing fourth in rebounds and rebounds per game in the country; and second in the nation in offensive rebounds. Her 23 double-doubles ranked 4th in the NCAA while her defensive rebounds per game, free throw attempts, free throws made, offensive rebounds per game, steals per game, and triple doubles all ranked her top-10 in the nation. Her first career triple-double came on January 17 at home against D'Youville College where she went for 16 points, 23 rebounds, and 11 steals. She also had five steals and five blocks in that game as well. She was the first player in school hostory to be named a national player of the week when she was awarded the USBWA National Division III Player of the Week Award on November 26, and was a finalist for the award twice. Her seven point, 15 rebound outing to open the season at Buffalo State snapped her 20 game double-double streak which currently is the 7th longest streak in NCAA DIII history. With such a great season it's no wonder she earned a lot of postseason accolades. She was named AMCC All-Conference First Team; AMCC Women's Basketball Player of the Year; AMCC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Year; All-ECAC First Team; D3Hoops.com All-Great Lakes Second Team; HERO Sports All-American; and Medaille College Female Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season.
