BUFFALO, N.Y. - Medaille College Athletics has announced women's lacrosse midfielder Cameron Briggs (West Seneca, NY, West Seneca East) and softball second baseman Kylie Lyons (Olean, NY, Olean) as the final Athletes of the Week of the year for the week of May 2– May 8.



In the United East Tournament, Briggs was the player of the weekend. In the Mavs' two games, she had a total of 10 goals, 15 shots on goal, 15 ground balls, three caused turnovers, and eight draw controls. Her best game was the semifinal game against Lancaster Bible where she had nine goals, 11 shots on goal, 11 ground balls, three caused turnovers, and two draw controls. In addition, she was also named the United East Rookie of the year, and selected for first team all-conference last week.



Lyons was a force to be reckoned with at the plate in the AMCC Tournament. She finished the weekend out going 9-18 earning a .500 average. She added six runs scored and one RBI. She spent all five games at second base totaling nine putouts, 15 assists, and was involved in three double plays. Her best game was against Alfred State where she went 4-4 at the plate with two runs scored.
