BUFFALO, N.Y. - Four Mavericks have been selected for the 2022 AMCC All-Conference Teams. Freshman Ander Castillo was named to the first team for fourth positions singles. Freshman Ben Tubbs was named to the second team for fifth position singles, and Freshman Celso Juberias was also named to the second team for sixth position singles. Freshman Rodrigo Fernandez paired with Castillo were named to the second team for second position doubles. Tubbs and Juberias were named to the second team for third position doubles.



Castillo had an overall record and conference record of 3-1 in singles matches. His best position was fourth where he went 2-0. His two wins were against Penn State Behrend where he won 6-0 and 6-4, and against Pitt-Greensburg where he won 6-2 and 7-6.



Tubbs had an overall record of 6-2. In conference matches, he went 5-0. His best position was fifth where he went 4-0. His wins were over Mount Aloysius where he won 6-0 and 6-2, Utica where he won 6-1 and 6-4, Penn State Behrend where he won 6-7, 6-4, and 12-10, and Pitt-Greensburg where he won 6-1 and 6-0.



Juberias had an overall and conference record of 3-1. His best position was sixth where he went 2-0. His wins were against Penn State Behrend where he won 6-3 and 6-3, and Pitt-Greensburg where he won 6-0 and 6-1.



The doubles team of Fernandez and Castillo went 2-2 overall and 2-1 in conference matches. Their best position was second. Their wins were against Penn State Behrend where they won 8-6, and against Pitt-Greensburg where they won 8-1.

The doubles team of Tubbs and Juberias went 2-1 overall and in conference matches. Their best position was third. Their wins were against Penn State Altoona where they won 8-5, and against Pitt-Greensburg where they won 8-0.
