MORRISVILLE, NY - The Medaille men's lacrosse team got eliminated from the postseason on Wednesday by Morrisville State College. It would be the first time the Mavericks would participate in the NEAC Tournament since 2014.

The Mavs quickly fell into a deficit in the first quarter, resulting in a 10-0 advantage for the Mustangs. The Mustangs would continue to add to their lead in the second, closing out the first half with a 14-0 lead.

The second half saw much of the same Morrisville State controlling much of the game and closing it out with a 19-0 victory, bouncing the Mavs from the playoffs.

Offensively, Jaren Dixon (Lewiston, NY, Niagara-Wheatfield) contributed with three shots on goal with Nathan Walker (West Seneca, NY, West Seneca East) tossing two on net as well.

Blaire Prest (Medina, NY, Medina) would receive the loss in between the pipes for the Mavs but made 18 saves in the process.

That will conclude the 2021 season for the Mavs as they look to make the playoffs once more.
