GREENSBURG, PA - The Medaille College Men's tennis team opened up their 2021 campaign this afternoon when they traveled to Greensburg, PA to take on the Pitt-greensburg Bobcats.

The Mavs fell behind early dropping two of the three doubles matches. Jason McCarthy (Cheektowaga, NY, Maryvale) and Akar Ayaw (Buffalo, NY, McKinley) won the #2 doubles match for the Mavs (8-2).

In singles action McCarthy won at #3 singles (6-3, 6-1) and Ayaw won at #4 singles (6-4, 6-4), but the Mavs ev6entually fell to the Bobcats by a final team score of (6-3).

The Mavs will look to bounce back next Saturday when they travel to Penn St.-Altoona for another AMCC matchup.
