BUFFALO, NY – The accolades keep rolling in for Medaille as the conclusion of the 2016-17 brought one more trophy to the Mavericks as Medaille won the inaugural Buffalo Cup.
 
2016-17 marked the first year that Medaille, Hilbert, and D'Youville College's competed for the Buffalo Cup. The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference rivals came together to start the competition, spanning over 12 sports that all three institutions sponsor.
 
The rules were simple; the title goes to the school who wins the most head-to-head contests between the three.
 
The Mavericks came in first with a grand total of 27 victories over the Hawks and Spartans during the last school year. The Mavs came away victorious 13 times against Hilbert and 14 times against D'Youville.
 
In contrast the Hawks only defeated the Mavs 4 times all year, while the Spartans came away winners against Medaille just three times.
 
Hilbert finished the year in second place with 14 total victories with the Spartans rounding out the field with 10 total wins.
