Medaille was only able to muster a single run in the top of the 5th inning. Balcerzak led off with another single and moved to second on a wild pitch. Jared McStine (Endicott, NY, Union-Endicott) drew a walk before Ryan Wojcinski (North Tonawanda, NY, Cardinal O'Hara) reached on a fielder's choice moving Balcerzak to third. Tyno's groundout drove in Balcerzak (5-3).

The Pioneers run of runs in consecutive innings pushed their lead to 6 runs at the end of six complete innings (9-3).

Travis Chavanne (Cheektowaga, NY, West Seneca East) singled and stole second base to lead off the 7th inning. McStine drew a walk and Chavanne advanced to third on a wild pitch. Patrick Castile (Niagara Falls, NY , Cardinal O'Hara) drilled an RBI single to drive in Chavanne. With two outs Serba smacked a single to drive in McStine for the second run of the inning (9-5).

The Mavericks scored again in their half of the 8th. After Daniel Luppens (Wading River, NY, Shoreham Wading River) doubled to lead off the inning and moved to third on a balk. Ryan Markiewicz (West Seneca, NY, West Seneca East) drove in Luppens on a groundout to cut the lead to three (9-6).

Alfred State pushed two more runs across in the 8th inning and Medaille could get no closer falling by a final score of 11-6.

Nick Carey (Tallmadge,OH, Tallmadge) took the loss for Medaille allowing 5 runs on 5 hits in 1+ inning pitched. In addition to Pullo's two scoreless innings to start the game, reliever Nate Labenski (Lancaster, NY, St. Mary's) worked a scoreless 6th inning.
